Random Sampler for Microsoft Excel

If you have data in Excel you need to audit, use the Random Sampler for Microsoft Excel to randomly sample your data.

The Random Sampler gives you the option to filter your data before sampling. For example, if you want to filter on account value, you can specify that only accounts with more than X dollars are to be sampled. There are eleven different tests one can use for filtering. You can also specify that the data be filtered based on entries in an include column or an exclude column. If an entry in an exclude column, the data row is excluded. If the include column filter is used, only data rows with an entry in that column are included. All filtering options can be used at the same time.

The Random Sampler can not only extract the data you want (and extraction is optional), it can color the sample rows (five different color choices). And, it can insert a text entry of your creation in a column of the rows that are selected for the sample. You can even have the Random Sampler exclude from the data before sampling those rows that have been colored. These capabilities allow you to select samples that meet different qualifications from your data.
