Download Accelerator Plus

Download Accelerator Plus (DAP) is a download manager that can increase download speeds by up to 300 percent. DAP searches for mirror sites that will most effectively serve your downloads and features multiserver connections to allow an optimal utilization of your dial-up or broadband connection. DAP also recovers from shutdowns, lost connections, and other errors. DAP integrates fully into Netscape, Internet Explorer, and Opera, and offers an integrated toolbar for Internet Explorer with a links catcher and a highlighter. DAP features automatic hang-up after download, proxy settings, scheduling, and a unique AlwaysResume service that resumes interrupted downloads from non-resume-enabled servers.

New features in DAP 7 include download previews of music and video files; advanced management of downloads; queues, priorities, and status notification; a separate listing of completed downloads; a media center for convenient management of media files; a new design; and unique integration with a Web-based storage service.
