SQL ScriptSafe

SQL ScriptSafe is the most powerful, flexible, and easy-to-use SQL Server database script versioning tool on the market.

The tool's interface provides the ability to easily add ALL SERVER and DATABASE scripts to Visual Sourcesafe with a single click. In addition, it allows the user to do all of the standard Visual Sourcesafe functionality. The following is a list of object scripts supported by the tool:

• Server: Logins, Alerts, Operators, Jobs, Backup Devices, Replication Objects, Databases, DTS Packages
• Database: Tables, Indexes, Triggers, Views, Stored Procedures, Functions, Users, Rules, Roles, Defaults, User Defined Data Types
• Core Visual Sourcesafe functions: Add item, check-in, check-out, undo check-out, delete with archive or permanently. Additionally, view source in Notepad is available.
• Functions processed by item or recursively: Server and database items can be processed in Visual Sourcesafe either individually or recursively.
• Additional Refresh functionality*: A unique feature of SQL ScriptSafe is the ability to refresh the scripts for an entire server by automatically checking-out, re-scripting the item from SQL Server and then checking-in the item
• Restore deleted items back to SQL Server: Items that are in Visual Sourcesafe but have been deleted from SQL Server can be restored back to SQL Server with a single click.
• BCP Export for tables: Provides basic data export feature to archive table data.
• Flexibility: SQL ScriptSafe supports both SQL Server 7.0 and 2000 versions. It also provides an interface to completely configure all available scripting options.
• Ease of Use: SQL ScriptSafe's main interface is simple and easy to use. It has a treeview to navigate the server and database objects.
