The Access Runtime
Installer is a setup program
that determines whether
Access 97 or Access 2000
is installed, and then runs
the appropriate installation
program.
For example, you distribute
an MS Access application
available for both Access
97 and 2000. Your
customers have computers
with either Access 97,
Access 2000, or no Access
installed. The Access
Runtime Installer will search
the Windows registry and
determine which (if any)
version of Access is
installed. It then runs the
appropriate setup program.
It can also differentiate
between the runtime and
full versions of Access, so
you can choose a setup
program based on this
determination.
You can even incorporate
the Runtime Installer in a
single ZIP or executable
file for network distribution.
The licensed version can be
redistributed royalty-free. | |
