This screen saver combines photographs of Southern soldiers during civil war reenactment events with music which was popular during the civil war ("Dixie's Land," "The Bonnie Blue Flag," "Maryland, My Maryland," "The Yellow Rose of Texas," and "Stonewall Jackson's Way"). It is popular with both avid and amateur civil war reenactors and makes a wonderful gift for the civil war buff in your family or circle of friends.
It features a very stable screen saver engine and several different user-definable features. The user interface is attractive, intuitive, and easy to use. The Windows 95/98/NT Desktop Properties dialog displays a live preview of the screen saver. The user can select any combination of transition effects to be displayed randomly. If you don't like an effect, you can turn it off.
The screen saver includes Plus! integration and features: you can set the mouse sensitivity or how long to wait before requiring a password. If you have System Agent installed (which is included with Microsoft Plus!) then you can also use Mouse Corners to quick start or prevent a screen saver from starting. You can change the time each image appears on screen as well as the size of each image. You can change the amount of time between the sounds played by the screen saver. You may also mute the sounds completely. |
